What in the World Happened Today
Health and Wellness, STEM

We use our whole bodies to explore and interact with the world around us by exploring with bubbles and use positional vocabulary to describe bubbles floating up, down, above, and below. Creating movement activities around children's interest increases their participation in gross motor activities that strengthen their large muscles.
Health and Wellness, Language and Literacy, Social and Emotional

Did you know that in addition to giving children another communication tool, teaching sign language can also support cognitive development and social-emotional growth? Learning signs can help with abstract thinking, enhance creativity, and foster empathy. As we incorporate new signs into our conversations, we focus on the sign for play!

What in the World Happened Today
Morning Meeting - The children will sing the "Who Came to School Today?" song. We will discuss the calendar, the weather, and the question of the day (How far can this ball roll?)
Exploring Centers - Children will use their picture card to choose and transition between different centers in the classroom.
Outdoor Walk/Play - Children will take part in a neighborhood walk to Joseph C. Sauer Park. At the park, children will explore the environment and take part in activities that support the development of gross motor skills, including movement, balance, and coordination.
Read Aloud- Have A Ball
Distance and Rolling Balls- observe and compare the distance balls roll down a ramp
